Find-a-Grave Memorial # 108322614:
METHODIST PIONEER DEAD.
Tacoma, Wash., April 29.---The Rev. Thomas M. Reese, pioneer Methodist missionary in the Northwest, died here today while on a visit at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. L. Overman. He was born in Ohio 84 years ago and in 1852 he made the overland trip to Oregon. In 1868 he entered the Methodist ministry and for many years he rode the lower Columbia river circuit in Oregon and Washington. He is said to have united in marriage more sons and daughters of pioneers than any other preacher in this territory.
