In the 1792 personal property tax list of Dinwiddie Co., Virginia Isham Reese has a son, Williamson, who was over 16. That son probably became 16 in about 1792 and was thus born in about 1776 since 1792 was the first year in which Isham had had another male over 16 in his household. Williamson was probably Isham's eldest son.

Williamson was alive when his father signed his will 22 Oct 1815. The following provision in the will suggests that in 1815 Williamson had had no children and was not expected to have any.

"3d I give unto my son Williamson that part of my estate that may fall to him in the general division only during his natural life if he dies heirless and in that case the property I give him Shall return to my estate and be equally divided among my heirs."
