Silas G. Reese's middle initial is 'G' twice in the census and twice in marriage records. Three times in the census he lives in Franklin Co. His first marriage occurred there, but his second marriage to Eliza M. Rucker took place in Bedford Co. The S. P. Reese (12 Jan 1803 - 22 Feb 1881) whose tombstone is in the Rucker Cemetery in Moneta, Bedford Co., Virginia (Find-a-Grave Memorial # 201638256) is in the right place to be Silas G. Reese. Franklin Co. and Bedford Co. are adjoining counties, and Moneta is very close to the boundary line. However, the middle initial is wrong, and the birth year of Silas P. Reese is 5 years earlier than the probable birth year of Silas G. Reese based on the census (consistently 1808 three times). Are they really the same person? I cannot find any other person in the census, apart from Silas G. Reese, who might be Silas P. Reese.
