The life of Kenneth Ray Roberts/Early is described on page 149 in The Early Families of Knox and Whitley Counties, Kentucky with Allied Families by Cleland Edward Early, Second Edition, 1996. Kenneth is Myrtle Weaver's son by her first husband Benjamin H. Roberts, and Cleland is her son by her second husband Jacob Edward Early. Cleland and Kenneth are half-brothers.

"Kenneth Ray Early was born in Deming, Luna County, New Mexico on February 2, 1916 the son of Benjamin H. and Myrtle Weaver Roberts. He was adopted by Jacob Edward Early in El Paso County, Colorado in 1919. He was injured in a farm accident and died in Colorado Springs, Colorado on September 19, 1925. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Fountain, Colorado."
