18-19. ix. Elizabeth Strong (dau. of Elder John Strong of Northampton, and Abigail Ford) b. Feb. 24, 1647, m. March 17, 1669, Joseph Parsons, Esq., of Northampton, b. in 1647, at Springfield (son of Cornet Joseph Parsons, and Mary Bliss, whom he m. Nov. 20, 1646. He d. at Springfield, March 25, 1684; she d. 1712, aged 92. He was one of the principal founders of Northampton and lived there for 30 years. He was a fur trader). Esq. Joseph Parsons, Jr., was a lawyer and justice of the peace at Northampton, and first judge of the County Court of Hampshire Co. (1698), and was a man of extensive business at all times, and much engaged in political and military life. He d. Nov. 21, 1729, aged 82. She d. May 12, 1736, aged 89. For 60 years they lived together in wedded life.
