29-30. xv. Hannah Strong (dau. of Elder John Strong and Abigail Ford) b. May 30, 1659, m. July 15, 1680, Capt. William Clark of Northampton, b. July 3, 1656 (son of Lt. Wm. Clark the settler and brother of Dea. John Clark who m. his wife's sister Hannah [should be 'Mary']), an early settler, large landholder and prominent man, in Lebanon, Ct. He bought with Josiah Dewey May 2, 1700, of Owanecho, sachem of the Mohegans, a large tract of wilderness, there called, "The Clark and Dewey Purchase." She d. Jan. 31, 1693-4, aged 34, and he m. Jan. 31, 1694-5, for 2d wife Mary Smith, who bore him five children, viz.: 1. Timothy b. Oct. 12, 1695. 2. Gershom b. Nov. 18, 1697. 3. Mary b. Nov. 22, 1699, and d. Oct. 10, 1702. 4. David b. Nov. 19, 1701, d. June 19, 1703. 5. David (2d) b. June 22, 1705, d. May 10, 1706. He d. May 9, 1725, aged 68: she d. April 23, 1748, aged 86.
