Marie Madeleine was born on Apr 10, 1703 in Saint-Memmie, Saint-Andre, France. She was the daughter of Claude Boisrond and Madeleine Hermant. She departed from LaRochelle, Charente-Maritime, Poitou-Charentes, France on Nov 15, 1718 aboard the ship 'Le Compte de la Toulouse", destined for New Orleans, with her husband, Pierre. They arrived in the Illinois Country in 1721, and rented property from Louis Toupin for five years before receiving their own concession in Prairie du Rocher.
The couple had eight children:
