The following is from Byberry Waltons (Norman Walton Swayne, 1958), pg 18:

18 JOHN WALTON (3), son of 3 Thomas Wa1ton & Priscilla Hunn of Moreland Twp, Montgomery Co., Pa., was March 29, 1740 deeded 25 acres just SE of his brother Thomas Jr by their father. This was probably the John who with Thomas Walton Sr witnessed the March 17, 1716 agreement under 25 Samuel Walton and the March 17, 1740 deed by his father Thomas to Tunies Titus, which deeded 100 acres just SE of what John rec'd twelve days later. While no further items about John have been discovered, there was a Walton family whose stones are at Churchville Reformed Church, near where John's land lay, which has not been otherwise connected, and may well be descended from him. This begins with here lies John Walton, born about 1794, died Aug. 13, 1833 in his 39th year, married Dec. 18, 1817 Elizabeth Fenton, born about 1798, died March 11 1866 in her 68th year, probably daughter of Joseph Fenton (about 1771-1822) & Mary (about 1775-1861), whose stones are with those of the Waltons. Evidence is not sufficient to give this John a number. From four other stones and several newspaper items there is evidence of these five children:
