The following is from Byberry Waltons (Norman Walton Swayne, 1958), pg 22:

28 JOSEPH WALTON (3), died 1727, son of 4 Daniel Walton & Mary Lamb of Byberry Twp, Phila. Co., Pa., married 1722, having passed Abington Mtg 10 mo 31, 1722, Esther Carver, daughter of John Carver of Buckingham. Apr. 12, 1727 letters in Joseph's estate were issued in Phila. to widow Esther Walton. The Knight Ms by Wm F. Corbit says Esther married 2nd 1.25.1728 Daniel Knight, born 1697, died 6.26.1782 at Byberry, son of Giles Knight & Mary English. He had married 1st 2.29.1719 Elizabeth Walker, and his 3rd wife was Mary Wilson, died 1777. By the 1st wife he had three children and by the 2nd six. The History of Byberry and Moreland says while Daniel was at meeting his 1st wife left her two young children and died by hanging herself in the stable, that Daniel sat for some days in the stable trying to find the reason, and finally expressed himself as satisfied.
