Notes
General:
The following, slightly reformatted to improve readability, is from Byberry Waltons (Norman Walton Swayne, 1958), pgs 15-16:

9 MALACHI WALTON (3), son of 2 Nathaniel Walton & Martha Bownall of Byberry Twp, Philadelphia Co., Pa., married by 1737 Mary Gandonett, died by 1772, daughter of the French physician Francis Gandonett & Mary. Malachi's widow married by 1768 Joseph Severns. Apparently Malachi died not earlier than 1745 nor later than l754. If near the former year, that helps to explain why no more than two children have been found.

May 25, 1737 Malachi of Byberry Twp, Yeoman, & wife Mary, granted to Job Walton of same, Yeoman, no doubt son of Malachi's uncle William, for 225 pounds subject to 50 pounds mortgage, the 107 acres in Byberry Twp received from his parents in 1732. A witness was William Walton.

Perhaps about this time Malachi & Mary moved upriver to Bristo1, where they kept an inn. Their son William was baptized July 15, 1741, from records of the Protestant Episcopa1 Church of Bristol. 11 Aug. 1741 Nathan Watson of the Borough of Bristol, Cordwainer, granted to Malachi Walton, Innholder of same, for 140 pounds, 27 acres there on the Creek coming from the Waste. The same year Malachi witnessed the will of Rebecca Watson of Bristol, widow. 5 Apr. 1745 M. Walton of the Burrough of Bristoll gave a mortgage of 20 pounds to Wm Skeels of the City of Burlington on a lot on the NE corner of Cedar & Market. 19 Apr. 1745 Malachi & wife Mary leased for five shillings and the next day released to Charles Read for 100 pounds a 20 acres lot in the Burrough of Bristoll called the Barnfield, beginning at the middle of the Creek coming from the Waste, extending along the great road from Bristol to Phila. This release was acknowledged 16 Sep. 1754 by Mary and 27 Sep. 1754 Wm Buckley Esq vouched for the signature of Malachi.

There were these two sons:

52 William b by 1741 m by 1767 Mary Russell, both alive 1782
53 David d 1779 m 1774 or earlier Rebecca Severns, alive ab 1780
