The following, slightly reformatted to improve readability, is from Byberry Waltons (Norman Walton Swayne, 1958), pg 17:

16 THOMAS WALTON (3), born about 1693, died 1st mo 31, 1777 aged 84, son of 3 Thomas Walton & Priscilla Hunn of Byberry Twp, Phila. Co. and later of Moreland Twp, Montgomery Co., both in Pa., is be1ieved to have been single. The History of Byberry and Moreland, which gives the death date and age, says so.

March 29, 1777 letters in his estate were issued in Phila. to Nathaniel Walton, who in drawing his will Feb. 6, 1777 said he was eldest son of Thomas' eldest brother, and disposed of the property of Thomas, which he expected to inherit. There was a Thomas Walton, apparently of the same locality, who in 1736 married Elizabeth Eastburn, a near neighbor. She was about 41 years old, and 16 Thomas was 43. Nevertheless, the marriage apparently was by his father, under whom is a fuller account. Isaac Comly's obituary notes in giving the above date of death say Thomas Sr of Horsham. At that time there were probably at least three younger men by the same name living within the territory around Horsham Mtg.

The above history says this Thomas was known as the Old Bishop, and usually walked five miles to attend Byberry Mtg, where he officiated when no other minister was present, and that he was disowned by the meeting for not paying a debt. Minutes of Abington Mtg 1.31.1718 say At this meeting Thomas Walton Junr appeared who hath been found in Several Evil practises whereby ye truth hath been reproached; and he having declared that he is Sorry; that he hath frequented Ill company, hopeing for ye future to be more carefull. 2.28.1763 the same meeting disowned Thomas for not paying a debt. In 1721 there were two Thomas Waltons among subscribers for maintaining the poor of Byberry Preparative Mtg, probably this one and his father. In 1717 he rec'd 100 acres from his father. Thomas was on the tax list of Mannor of Moorland 1769, 150 acres 4 horses 4 cattle, tax 18.4.0, also 1774, 70 acres 2 horses 3 cattle, tax 7.14.8.
