Parker in America, pg 458:

In January, 1908, Dr. J. W. F. Parker, the author of this sketch, wrote to the compiler, that his wife died Sept. 21, 1906, aged 74, less two months. "She was a daughter of Dr. John A. Caldwell, who was a native of Boyle Co., Ky., and who fell victim of an epidemic disease when she was eight years of age, the oldest of a family of children raised by her widowed mother. She possessed the most exalted virtues of humanity, the acme of which is developed in the capacities of a wife and mother."
