Anderson Hines Called By Death

Anderson Hines, aged 75, who has lived in Hastings for almost forty years, passed away at 6:00 a. m. Saturday morning from heart trouble, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jesse G. Evans, 317 south St. Joe avenue.
The youngest child in a family of twelve, Anderson Hines was born in Kentucky, on March 10, 1857, and made his home in that state until 1898 when he came to Nebraska.
At the age of 18 years he was united in marriage with Miss Clara Baugh, and to them were born three children: Balis, Millard and Minnie. Mrs. Hines died while the children were young, and in 1885 Mr. Hines married Miss Leah Burke.
The deceased is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Evans, at whose home he died, and by one son, Bales M. Hines of this city. There are also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. There are also two brothers, Cyrus Hines of this city, and John Hines of Mountain View, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Harvey C. Miller officiating, and burial was made in the Juniata cemetery.
