His brother John Hines lives not far away at 172/177, and John's sons Thomas J. and Ephraim live at 177/182 and at 178/184 respectively. Thomas's uncle Henry Baugh lives at 191/197.

In 1900 Thomas Hines (84, Aug 1815, Ky Va Va, widower, day laborer) is living in Pulaski Co. with his son Shelton.

They were married 30 Oct 1880 at her residence by Solomon Newall in the presence of Wm. S. Newall, Wm. J. Barron, and S. F. Lay.

Other sources say that Nancy is Nancy Smith, but her surname in the above handwritten record is clearly "Suttles".

The second wife of Thomas Hines was the mother of the second wife of Thomas's son Green Hines.
