Rites for Ida Hines Wall

Ida Hines Wall, born Oct. 25, 1877, to John and Nancy Frances Hines, died March 2, 1955, at her home in Argyle.
She had been bedfast for nine months. She leaves her husband Willie Wall, three of their six children, Wendell Wall and Mrs. Carrie Lawless of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Ora Murphy of Argyle: 24 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren: and these brothers and sisters: George T. Hines of Argyle, Lloyd Hines of Stab, Ky., Jessie Hines of Tennessee, Perk Hines of Muncie, Ind., and Mrs. Cora Hines Adams of Nancy.
The funeral service was held at the Valley Oak Baptist church of which she was a member. The Rev. W. A. Reese officiated. Interment was at the church cemetery with the Miller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The casket bearers were George Roy, Fred Lay, Otis Lawless, Gilbert Cravens, Raymond Wall and Frank Godbey.

WHO IS HER MOTHER?

The birth year in the above obituary and in the death certificate is 1877. The birth year on the tombstone is 1876.

The above obituary says that her mother was Nancy Frances Hines, and the death certificate says that she was Francis Watson. The marriage record for John W. Hines and Nancy Watson indicates that it is his second marriage, and Ida was born before the marriage date. See discussion under John W. Hines for more details.
