HINES
William Jefferson Hines, 88, died Monday at his home at Route 2, Eubank, after a long illness. He was a farmer.
The son of the late Linza Perry and Rosella Vaught Hines he was born April 24, 1874.
He was married to Flora S. Hines May 17, 1896, and seven children were born to this union. His wife, two sons and one daughter preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Audra Hines, Whitley City; and Mrs. Viola Kemper, Eubank; two sons, Clarence Hines, Cincinnati, and Raymond Hines, Eubank.
Mr. Hines was united in marriage in 1932 to Ermine Wesley. He is further survived by his wife, two stepchildren, Loyal Wesley, Science Hill, and Mrs. Bernice McMullin, Eubank; two brothers, Add Hines, Bloomington, Ind., and Henry Hines, Science Hill; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church with the Rev. C. W. Denney officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were by Harris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home.
