MARY T. HAGGARD
Mary T. Haggard, daughter of the late Wm. and Rebecca Watson was born in Casey county, Kentucky, July 22, 1854, 89 years 5 months and 20 days old when the death angel visited the home on January 11, 1944. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Hines, January 16, 1871, who preceded her to the grave May 4, 1904. To this union was born seven children, four preceding her in death. She is survived by one son, Wm. A. Hines of Science Hill, Ky., and two daughters, Flora Elliott, Argyle, Ky., and Lulu G. Wesley, Ware, Ky., with whom she had made her home for the past twelve years. Also twenty-one grand children, forty-four great grand children and four great great grandchildren. Secondly she was united in marriage to C. C. Haggard, January 26, 1923, who also preceded her to the grave July 21, 1931. She united with the Valley Oak Baptist church early in life, later united with The Church of Christ of Pulaski, Ky., of which she was a member at the time of her death. She was the middle child of eleven children, all preceding her in death.
Funeral services were held at Bethelridge church conducted by W. A. Reese Norwood, Ky., and Rev. Wagoner, pastor of the Bethelridge church. Flower girls were the grand daughters, Hester Wesley, Marcella Wesley, Mary Rose Wesley, Evelyn McAninch, Geneva Adams and Lucille Elliott.
After funeral services interment was in the Bethelridge cemetery.
