If Julia G. James was born 8 Jun 1795, as her christening record states, and she died 14 Jan 1883, then the age on her tombstone is wrong by one year. She is 87.

FIND-A-GRAVE MEMORIAL # 18070537:

According to Keith Lingenfelter in Tehama County Pioneers Julia came to stay at the James Kendrick ranch in 1879. Her death occurred on said ranch which is in Tehama Co., CA. She was buried across the road from the Kendrick home in Newville Cemetery in present day Glenn Co., CA (Glenn Co. was formed in 1891).

Julia was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Creely and Elizabeth Bienvenu-dit-Delisle. She was baptized on Aug 6, 1793 at St. Louis King of France Cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri, her godparents being Baptiste de Moulin and Pelagie Bienvenu. She married John Griffin James on Feb 4, 1812 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Florissant. He [sic] father initially opposed the marriage because she spoke only French, and her husband spoke only English. They were the parents of at least eleven children.
