MARRIAGE:
The name of Ephraim H. Dickson appears frequently in the documents associated with probating the estate of James Withinton. Although the first administrator of the estate was Peter A. Walsh, public administrator, on November 15, 1838 Ephraim Dickson was appointed administrator de bonis non (= replacement administrator) and he was allowed a fee of $___ on June 6, 1839 by the judge of the Probate Court. On July 5, 1838 Dickson was paid $72 to go to the western part of Missouri and to Arkansas to conduct some business relative to the estate. He was gone 36 days at $2/day.
