Notes
General:
DATES:
PULASKI COUNTY CEMETERY RECORDS (Pulaski County Historical Society, 1977) has two volumes and the Soul's/Soule's Chapel Cemetery is in each volume. In Volume I on page 425 Elizabeth's dates are Jan 25, 1797 and May 8, 1858, and in Volume II on page 85 they are Jan 25, 1794 and May 8, 1853. The photograph at Find A Grave shows clearly that Volume II is correct.
MARRIAGE:
"Madison County, Kentucky Marriage Records, Vol 1, 1786-1822" (Bill and Kathy Vockery, 1993) indicates that Samuel Reese is the father of the bride and that Jesse Richardson is the father of the groom. In fact the original marriage record, which can be seen on LDS microfilm 183308, images #146-48, does not specify the relationship of these two men to the bride and groom. Jesse Richardson is, in fact, the father of the groom, and Samuel Reese is either the uncle or the brother of the bride.
