THE CLAYTON NEWS, Thursday, March 17, 1927:

THREE BABIES DIE

Sunday the 9-month-old daughter, Alice Doris, of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Grimes of this city passed away, death being caused by Colitis. The little one had never been healthy. Services were held from the M. E. Church South Monday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. A. M. Dupree, pastor, preaching the sermon. Interment was in Clayton cemetery.
