The William Grinstead Family in America (Gorrell Shumaker and John L. N. Grinstead, April 1974):

pg 163: "Fauntroy Grinstead (1810-- ) married ____ Moore".

COMMENT:

The information about Phillip Grinstead and Lucy Hooker on page 163 is said to have been taken mostly from the "Phillip Wade Grinstead 'Record'", and presumably the information about Fauntroy Grinstead is from the same source.

The 1810 and 1820 censuses for Philip Grinstead suggest that 2 male children were born after 1810. I cannot find any Fauntroy Grinstead in the censuses from 1830 to 1860.

On page 1 in The William Grinstead Family in America the authors state that one of their sources is the "1930 'RECORD' of Philip Wade Grinstead'. This Philip Wade Grinstead (1866-1931) is a grandson of Phillip Wade Grinstead (1808-1862). He is a son of Robert Emmet Grinstead (1840-1924).
