Levi M. Hinds is definitely on the Wayne County tax roll in 1827 and he might be there earlier. He is there for the last time in 1839. He never has any land, and typically he has 1 or 2 horses, although sometimes none. His tax roll entries are very similar to those of his second cousin Levi S. Hinds, and sometimes it is impossible to know whether 'Levi Hinds' is Levi M. or Levi S. Levi M. is already 21 in 1827, and if he became 21 in 1827, he was born in about 1806. See notes under Levi S.
