Mrs. Elizabeth Hitts Will
The State of Alabama Dallas County. In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Hitt of said State and County being Week in body but of Sound Mind and Memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following Viz:
1st After the payment of my just debts I give and bequeath all my property of every description as follows into fore shares to wit:
2nd One Share of which I Give to my two Grand Daughters the daughters of my Daughter Charlotte A. A. McGill, Viz: Camelia ______ & Wellie Adaline McGill, this I give to them instead of to their Mother And Should one of them die before She ______ of age or marries the other to have her Share.
3rd Benj F. Hitt, Emiley S. Wilsin, Catharine C. Booth and Daniel M. Hitt to have one Share Each they are all to be equal in the division.
4th I owe my Son Daniel M. Eight hundred Dollars out of which I desire my Executors first to pay his debts and the balance paid over to him.
5th I Give to my Son Daniel a Negro boy named Abraham in addition to his Equal Share And the Share golling [sic] to him together with the said boy Abraham I Give to Benj F. Hitt and Thomas Booth in Trust for him and his heirs not to be Subject to his Contracts debts ______ or Contracts but he may be permitted to use and Contract said property only at the direction of said Trustees.
6th My Son Daniel having abandoned his business and Come home to take care of me in my infirmities I Give and bequeath to him and direct that he be paid Four hundred Dollars for his said ______ for the the [sic] present year.
7th I hereby nominate and appoint my Son Benj F. Hitt and my Son in law Tho's Booth Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other and former Wills by me made.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of April AD 1858.

PARENTS:
The will of Agnes Bozeman of Dallas Co., Alabama, signed January 14, 1826, bequeaths a Negro woman named Ollis unto her grandson Marshall M. Hitt. She bequeaths $5 to her son Harman Bozeman and the remainder of her property to her 5 daughters, to wit, Sarah Carson, Ann Nayo, Elizabeth Hitt, Catharine Quarles, and the heirs of Agnes Berry. The executors are Tilman Hitt and Hamblin Quarles. The will was proved May 8, 1826. (Will Book A, pgs 51-52)
