The following is from a research article about John Balthasar Hinkle and his children. It was sent to me by Robert L. Hess of Oakland, California, a descendent of John Balthasar. Numbers in brackets indicate notes which follow. See also page 1458 of the HENCKEL GENEALOGICAL BULLETIN.
Hanna Barbara[1] Hinckel, born 26 Mar 1770 and baptized 29 Apr 1770 at Frederick, Maryland.[13,21] She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Frederick on 25 May 1786.[21] Hanna married Henry Seller (probably about 1792[2]) and they resided near Frederick, Maryland, where they had at least three children.[13]
NOTES
1. Hanna Barbara's name was recorded simply as Hanna at her baptism, and she was named after her godmother, Hanna Steiner.[13] But the full name of both women was Hanna Barbara, as recorded for the younger Hanna when she was confirmed,[21] and for the older Hanna when she was baptized[45] and was buried.[19]
2. In the 1790 census she appears to be one of three daughters still living at home with her parents. If so, she was married between then and 1793, when her first child was born/baptized.[13]
