On June 9, 1818 Peter Hitt of Edgefield District conveyed by deed of gift to his daughter Susanna Hitt of the same place a tract of 126 acres on Beddingfields Creek of Savannah River being part of a grant to James Hammond and conveyed by him to Peter Hitt. The tract is adjacent to Peter Hitt and McCoy's Road. Witnesses: Wm. Price, Henry Hitt. A plat of February 2, 1815 by Edward Collier, DS shows adjacent lands of Peter Hitt, Munday, Wm. McKinney, Wm.
