The will of Jack H. Leftwich is long and complicated. It was signed June 5, 1847 and proved at the July 1847 term of the court. Land descriptions mention owners of adjoining property. One of them is Jacob Reese. The testator mentions his wife Jane, his son L. B. Leftwich, and his daughters Fanny Bryant, Rebecca S. Gill, Polly R. Reese, Catharine G. Stone, Sarah Jame Neese, Nancy Gill, Fenetta Boon Bryant, and Martha Ann Leftwich. Martha is a minor. The executors are his wife Jane, his son L. B. Leftwich, Lewis Sensern[?], and Joel Reese.
