On August 1, 1770 Samuel Pitchford of Dale Parish in Chesterfield Co. sells to Benjamin Lockett, Jun'r of the same place for £22 a tract of 75 acres in Dale Parish on which Pitchford now dwells adjoining property of Elam Farmer, William Moseley and James Moore. (Chesterfield Co. Deed Records 6/290)

On September 3, 1773 Benjamin Lockett in the parish of Manchester of Chesterfield Co. sells to Blanks Moody of the same place for £20 a tract of 75 acres, more or less, in Manchester Parish adjoining lands of Elam Farmer, Arthur Moody and Joseph Moseley. Signed Benjamin Lockett, Jr. (7/237)

In obedience to an order of Chesterfield Court the personal estate of Benjamin Lockett was appraised August 30, 1774 by John Farmer, Junior, Henry Cheatham and John Hill. There are 11 items worth £13 8/6 including hogs, £3 10s, and a cow, £3.
