William Lockett was a Methodist minister as well. He migrated to Wythe County with his brother Daniel, but William continued west. William and Daniel married DeForest sisters, Louisa and Betsy, respectively.

In "Marriage register, v. 1, 1790-1853 (typed copy)" at Familysearch.org, images 84-120/382, Daniel Lockett performs numerous marriages. Individual marriages are often not dated.

Daniel Lockett will, Wythe Co. VA Will Bk.3:129-30 (or 134-35?). Daniel, 14 Nov 1763-c. Sep 1825, was son of Richard & Mary (Logwood) Lockett, and his wife was Betsy Suggett (DeForrest) Lockett.
In the name of God, amen. I Daniel Lockett of the county of Wythe and Commonwealth of Virginia, being in sound and perfect mind and memory do this twenty fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four, make public and declare this my last will & testament in matters, manner and form that is to say.
Imprimis. I commit my body to the earth from whence it came and my soul to God who gave it.
Secondly. My will is that out of my personal estate my funeral expenses and my just debts be paid.
Thirdly. I give and bequeath out of the remainder of my personal estate if any, to my daughter Louisa and my son Edmond, each of them the sum of one hundred and ten dollars which is amount equal to advancements heretofore made to my other children and in addition to the above bequeath, my will is that my son Edmond shall have six months schooling, and the expense thereof to be paid out of my said personal estate.
Fourthly. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Betsy E. during here natural life the remainder of my personal estate, if any after the foregoing bequeaths are satisfied.
Fifthly. I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife all and singular my lands, tenements, saw mill together will all the rents, profits, privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging for and during her natural life and at her death my will is that my said land be divided as follows: Beginning at the point where a Branch running from the land of Richard Walton intersects the eastern boundary line of my said land, and running through a straight line across the plantation to walnut tree standing near two sink holes and passing the said walnut tree in the same direction fifteen poles and then a line each way and running parallel with the fence nearest said walnut tree until its southern extension strikes the line of George Kincannon meadow place on a high ridge on the northern extension until it strikes its northern boundary line, and southward fifteen poles from the junction of the first line (above designated to be fifteen poles from the walnut tree) and running from thence as straight line to a marked hickory in the western boundary line on the bank of the creek near the ford below John Brawleys and then dividing my said land into four parts.
Sixthly. I give and bequeath at the death of my said wife that part of the above divided land including tan yard and dwelling house now occupied by my son Richard to my said son Richard together with all such tenements, privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging.
Seventhly. I give and bequeath to my son Edmond that part of my said land including my dwelling house together with all tenements, privileges and appurtenances at the death of my said wife.
Eightly. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally Aiken that part of the said land including the Saw Mill together with the tenements, privileges and appurtenances at the death of my said wife.
Ninthly. I give and bequeath to my daughter Louisa the remaining division of the said land with its tenements, privileges and appurtenances at the death of my said wife.
Tenthly. I do hereby constitute ordain and appoint my friends George Kincannon and James Sanders executors to this my last will and testament revoking all former wills and in witness whereof, I hereto set my hand & seal the date first above written.

Virginia. At a court held for Wythe County the 13th day of September 1825. This the last will & testament of Daniel Lockett, dec'd, was presented in court and proved by the oaths of Norvell Gannaway and James Bradley, the two subscribing witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of George Kincannon & James Sanders the executors named in said will who entered into bond with Andrew Kincannon their security in sum of one thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs and severally.
BEDFORD CO.:
Daniel Lockett appears once in the personal property tax list in Bedford Co. In 1787 he has 2 horses. On October 3, 1805 he is said to be of Wyth Co. in the deed in which he sells to his brother Jeremiah his share of his father's land (12/51). On December 22, 1808 (13/637), on October 25, 1810 (14/391), and on October 29, 1816 (15/136) a Daniel Lockett witnesses a deed in Bedford Co.
