General:
Based on the census and his tombstone, Flemmon S. Reese/F. S. Rees was a real person born in 1836. His name is very reasonable for a son of James R. Reese, who had a younger brother named Fleming Sanders Reese. To equate 'Clement A.' in the 1850 census with 'Flemmon S.' is a bit of a stretch, but note the association with Granville Sharp. Also 'Clement' and 'Flemmon' only differ in the first and last phonemes. If someone said "Flemon", the census taker could easily misunderstand what was said to be the more common name Clement.

Although his name in the 1900 census is 'Flemmon', it was probably Fleming.

CENSUS:

In 1850 he is in the household of James R. Rees as Clement A. Rees (14).

In 1860 he is not in the census.
