The following is from Byberry Waltons (Norman Walton Swayne, 1958), pgs 18-19:

20 JAMES WALTON (3), died before 1745, son of 3 Thomas Walton & Priscilla Hunn of Moreland Twp, Montgomery Co., Pa., married 1730 Mary Jeanes, daughter of William Jeanes & Esther Brewer. They passed Abington Mtg 9.30.1730 and 10.28.1730 that meeting reported they had married. 8.28.1745 Thomas Carrington & Mary Walton passed the same meeting and 9.25.1745 were reported married. Their certificate says Mary Walton, widow of Moorland, seamstress, and Thomas Carrington of Lower Dublin Twp. The first signers were William Jeanes and Elizabeth Jeanes. Probably his 1st wife had died. 7.26.1756 Abington Mtg rec'd from Richland Mtg Thomas Carrington with wife and step-daughter Esther Walton. The will of Wm Jeans, drawn 2nd mo 3rd 1747, left daughter Mary Carrington 150 pounds, or if not living to her children Wm and Ester Walton. The Gilbert Cope Collection gives the above Mary, who married a Walton and a Carrington, as one of seven children of Wm Jeans & Ester Brewer. A Walton Ms at the Chester Co. Hist. Soc., source not known, says 20 James was son of the 1st Thomas Walton. There were at least these two children:
