MRS. HINKLE DIES AT AGE OF 84 YEARS
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY NIGHT IN DENISON
Mrs. Mollie Catherine Butcher Hinkle, 84, resident of the Red Oak community for some 74 years, died at 2:10 p. m. yesterday at the home of a son, George W. Hinkle, in Denison, with whom she had made her home for the past four years, since suffering a stroke of paralysis.
Funeral services were held at the Hinkle home in Denison at 9 o'clock last night with the Rev. O. F. Langford of the Nazareene Church officiating. Then the body was brought overland to the home of E. F. McAlister in Red Oak. Other funeral services were held at the Red Oak Methodist Church this afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. R. Clark Calvert and the Rev. Calvin Jenkins officiating. Burial was made in Bell's Chapel Cemetery beside her late husband.
Active pallbearers were six grandsons.
Mrs. Hinkle moved to Red Oak community as a young child and was reared and married there. She was a long time member of the Methodist faith.
Survivors are two sons, Claude Hinkle of Garland and George W. Hinkle of Denison; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Allen, Hot Springs, Ark.; Mrs. Grace Dearborn, Midlothian; Mrs. Sadie Cherry, Dallas, and two brothers, J. W. Butcher, Allyn, Washington, and George K. Butcher, Dallas.
