Notes
General:
The Henckel Genealogy, page 25, image 24/1446:

Maria Elizabeth Dentzer, baptized May 26, 1672 at Birkenau, Germany. She was named for her mother's sister, Maria Elizabeth Giebel "who at that time was in the service of the court of Abraham Wolfgang von Bonn at Weinheim, our young nobleman." She married April 25, 1692 at Kirchain, Germany to Reverend Anthony Jacob Henckel.

BAPTISM:

Maria Elisabetha, daughter of Nicolas Dentzer and his wife Barbara Catharina, was baptized May 26, 1672 at Birkenau.

The baptismal record begins on page 98 (image 56, lower left) and continues on page 99 (image 58, upper right). Birkenau is in the southernmost part of the current German state of Hessen. It is about 10 miles north of Heidelburg.

Maria Elisabetha's younger sister Maria Sophia Elisabetha was born about two years later and was baptized 24 Apr 1674 in Birkenau. It might be that the older child died and her name was reused. However, when Anton Jacob Henckel recorded the baptisms of his 12 children in Eschelbronn and in Daudenzell, he recorded the mother's name every time as 'Maria Elisabetha', although the form of his own name varied. He never mentioned 'Sophia'. That suggests that the older sister Maria Elisabetha did not die young and that she was the wife of Reverend Henckel.

MARRIAGE:

Maria Elisabeth's father was the pastor of the Lutheran church in Kirchhain, where she married Rev. Anton Jacob Henckel April 25, 1692. The marriage record is in passive voice and does not mention the bride.

Anno 1692 Den 25te April Ist herr Antonig Jacobg Henckelig Pfarrer von Eschellbron Copulirt worden.

Year 1692 The 25th of April Mr. Antonius Jacobus Henckelius pastor of Eschelbronn was married. [the letter 'g' sometimes represents 'us' in Latinized forms; in baptismal records 'natus' and 'renatus' are sometimes written 'natg' and 'renatg']

Anthony Jacob Henckel and Maria Elisabetha Dentzer were second cousins.

BURIAL:

Photographs of two tombstones in the churchyard of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Philadelphia can be seen at Find-a-Grave.
<ref>{{FindAGrave|10906589}}</ref> The original tombstone reads

HEAR Lys The Body

Hinkle Who departed
This Life The 23d of
January 1744

At the top are the initials "A H" (presumably for her husband Anthony Henckel). Another later stone reads

ANTHONY JACOB HENKEL

ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCH
BORN 1668 DIED 1728
MARIA ELIZABETH HENKEL
HIS WIFE
BORN 1671 DIED 1741

The reason for the date discrepancies is not obvious.
