General:
On December 2, 1828 Jasper Grinstead of Louisa Co., Virginia and Neomi Meek of Warren Co., Kentucky for and in consideration of $142 each to them in hand paid sell to William Walker of Charlotte Co., Virginia all their right, title, and interest in a tract of land in Charlotte Co. containing 514 acres or thereabouts joining the lands of William Valley, Thomas McDearman, and others, it being the same tract purchased by Sabra Harris in her lifetime of James Palmer. The said Sabra Harris died intestate, her brothers and sisters being entitled to the said tract. One of her sisters Barshiba Hix married one Richard Grinstead and by him had two children, the said Jasper Grinstead and Neomi Meek, who are entitled to one equal share in said land which is believed to be one eighth between them or one half of one eighth to each.
